Lemon Poppyseed Loaf

1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
4 eggs
rind of 2 lemons
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup poppyseeds
3 cups flour
2 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Mix together and bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.

Glaze: squeeze juice from two lemons, add 1 cup of white sugar. Heat in saucepan until sugar dissolves. Remove cake from the oven when baked and drizzle glaze over. Remove from pan when cool. Spring form pan works best.
